Why is motorsport afforded so little coverage? Why is the interminable, sad and pathetic football afforded so much? |

Here's a tip: NEVER watch Sky (apart from World Motorsport), but ALWAYS watch Eurosport.
Sky:
" loves to break when the Americans do (i.e. every two seconds)
" doesn't employ talented commentators able to talk over live feed
" have Jim Rosenthal-like presenters drafted in from other sports (usually crappy football)
" cut to infuriating studio analysis by so-called 'experts'
" commentators utter STUPID Americanisms in great quantity
Eurosport:
" employ talented and knowledgeable commentators
" have a wide variety of motorsport
" have few, well-timed breaks
" commentators give us analysis on the fly
" you don't have to pay for it!
If no-one watched Sky, Eurosport could buy all the NASCAR races, as well as IRL.
Here's another tip: if you like Boremula 1 and have satellite television, switch over to the German RTL channel while ITV goes for (another) break (11229 mhz, vertical polarity). But be sure to turn it back- you might miss Murray and Martin. Other than hundreds of references to Schumacher, it's reasonably watchable. |
